The Esquire Bank Los Angeles Flagship represents the Bank’s first full-service location in Southern California and a strategic opportunity to reinterpret an established financial brand for a new market. Located in Century City within Watt Plaza, a landmark twin 23-story office complex, the project transforms a commercial office interior into a high-end, client-focused banking environment tailored to Esquire’s high-profile clientele.

From early programming, the space was conceived as a modernized conference-driven environment rather than a traditional retail bank. The layout prioritizes customized client meeting spaces and contemporary conference rooms, allowing the Bank to support private banking relationships while maintaining operational efficiency. Spatial planning balances privacy and openness, creating an environment that facilitates both focused conversations and collaborative engagement.

Lighting played a central role in shaping the experience of the space. Carefully integrated throughout, it enhances clarity, comfort, and atmosphere, reinforcing a refined yet approachable interior. Material selections and detailing were developed to align with Esquire’s established identity while introducing a refreshed, West Coast sensibility appropriate for the Los Angeles market.
