A yacht offers strict constraints while also providing distinct opportunities to architects and designers alike. An interesting set of challenges arises when it is realized that a vision must not only be structurally sound, innovative, aesthetically beautiful and comfortable, but it must also meet the constraints of overall vessel buoyancy. Being afloat in a modernists retreat has been a long sought after dream for these clients.
The state of art design of this yacht incorporates the latest technology, utilizing carbon fiber. The finest goods were chosen to adorn the yachts interior. Outdoor textiles were employed in the interior spaces to ensure the client would have the calming, clean white aesthetic that they sought after, without compromising the durability and longevity. Hand selected Macassar Ebony with a high lacquer finish wraps each wall of the main deck and the floors are clad in custom silk carpet. In keeping with the European heritage of the vessel, all the custom designed furnishings and accoutrements were made in the old country.
The client wanted to ensure that their crew would have the most advanced technology to work with. No expense was spared. From the engine room to the toilets to the acoustical system to the shower hinges, every aspect of the workings of the ship was thought through diligently and with care. Throughout their history the European boat manufacturer has credited “passion as the driving force behind the performance and perfection they deliver. They strive for perfection both technically and aesthetically.” This project is the crowning glory of yacht designers and architects alike.
